The eco-efficient insulation for facades
Projected cork is an excellent solution when renovating and insulating facades. It is applied using an airbrush gun and thanks to its adhesion it forms a continuous coating, without thermal bridges, which is very durable, waterproof and highly resistant to the elements.
Natural insulating cork
Cork is a totally natural and ecological product that comes from the bark of cork trees. It is a very light and stable material outdoors. It has a very low thermal conductivity and is also waterproof.
Thickness of ATK CORK projected cork
The application thickness of the projected cork ranges from 2 mm to 5 mm. The thermal resistance obtained is proportional to its thickness. It is usually sufficient to avoid humidity problems due to condensation and to eliminate thermal bridges. Furthermore, as it is an elastic material, it is capable of absorbing structural stresses, avoiding the appearance of micro-fissures through which water can filter.
If the façade requires thicker thermal insulation, we can combine it with a SATE system and use the projected cork as the final coating.
